What's The Buzz?

I'm sharing a card I did for the Runway Inspired Challenge.  I used the colors and graphic feel as the inspiration for my card.  It's totally outside my usual colors/feel but I had fun with it!  All of the stamped images are from the Paper Smooches Cyber Cafe set.  I just stamped the images, colored the gray cups and added some washi tape and a teeny strip of black cardstock to finish it off.  I didn't even add any embellishments, it's totally clean and simple and one layer.  I'm happy with how it turned out!  Thanks for looking and be sure to check out the challenge to participate.

Paper Smooches Fun

Just sharing a couple more cards I've created recently.  I just love this fun paper and stamp from October afternoon!  The chevron is so fresh and trendy!  The turtle, hat and saying are all from the Paper Smooches Party Posse set, SO adorable!! I paper pieced his hat and colored the turtle with copics for a vibrant look.  A gem on his hat and a wiggle eye finish him just perfectly.
Love these super cute puppy stamps from the Woofers and Tweeters set from Paper Smooches.  The background was created using many images from the set stamped in Versamark onto gray paper.  It's so easy to create great background paper with your stamps!

Thanks so much for checking out my cards!! :)

A few new cards....

Just sharing a few new cards I've done.  I just love these Memory Box dies!  The window, shutters, flower box, vine and flowers were all done using memory box dies, so fun!  The brick wall was done with an embossing folder and some white ink for a vintage feel.  I used papers from authentique for the wallpaper and curtain.  Love the fresh colors!
This card uses some great papers from Jillibean soup, LOVE 'em!! For the fun ruffle, I've just taken some crepe paper and attached it with scor-tape to add a fun girly feel.  Simple and so easy!
I used a fun new mask from Heidi Swapp for this card.  So easy to create a fun background using some pearl shimmer spritz and the mask onto a white card.  I added these great stamps from Paper Smooches stamped onto the coordinating dies for a quick, CAS card.  Love these vibrant colors!

Thanks so much for looking, and happy stamping!!

Butterfly Wishes and Chevron Fun!

Just sharing some cards I've made recently with Paper Smooches stamps.  On this first one, I've stamped the butterflies from Flap Happy onto transparency and colored them using alcohol inks.  I fussy cut them and attached them to the card just on their bodies so the wings pop out.  So fun!!  Love these super fabulous stamps, they're so easy to create with!
This card uses Distress Paints from Ranger along with stamps from the Geo-Graphics set and Slang Gang sentiment set.  I simply inked the stamps with the distress paint and stamped, it creates this cool aged look without any extra work!  Works perfectly on rubber or clear stamps and is so easy!  The sentiment was done the same way, just using white distress paint on colored cardstock.  Such a cool look!  I simply attached my background panel to an aqua card and added some sparkle twine and sequins to finish it off.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy stamping!! :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect Card

This week begins an all new Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge!  It's Picture Perfect week, with this fun picture for inspiration!! :)

Here's my take on the challenge photo.  I just loved the super cute colorful tags, so I made my own using the tag from Qwick Qwips.  I added orange twine to the sentiment tag and fussy cut hearts and the coffee to-go cup from the Hot Concoctions set.  Super fun and cheery!  Love it! :)  I had to add glossy accents to the hearts and cup lid for dimension.

I'm so sad to say that this is my last challenge with the SPARKS Design Team.  These past seven months have just flown by and I've enjoyed every second of this amazing ride!  My fellow SPARKS designers are fabulously talented and it's been a blast working with them all, and Savannah was the most awesome DT coordinator ever, SO helpful and encouraging!!  A HUGE thank you to Kim for asking me to be a part of this dream come true experience!  I feel so blessed and thankful for this wonderful opportunity!!!  Congrats to the new team, can't wait to see your SPARKS creations!! :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge

Today starts a fun new sketch challenge over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog.  This sketch is so perfect and fun!

For my card, I used some awesome new dies from Paper Smooches to create this flower.  I used the Big Bloom dies to cut through 3 layers of sparkly tissue paper and layered them together with a brad.  I fluffed the layers to created this rose like flower.  So easy and fun!  I stamped the hexagon border from Geo-Graphics onto my kraft layer.  The sentiment is from the Salutations set.  For my little flags, I attached some silver washi tape to coordinate with my decorative brad.  I love the simplicity of this sketch, it would work for so many card styles!

Thanks so much for checking out my card!  Be sure to visit the SPARKS Challenge blog for more info and to share your creation!

The other SPARKS designers are sharing some fabulous creations as well!

My card uses some super fun critters that I stamped onto watercolor paper and colored using distress markers and a waterbrush.  Love these guys!  I drew in the balloon string and added some glossy accents to the images for dimension.  My stamps for this card come from the Chubby Chums, Party Posse, Woofers and Tweeters, Hullabaloo, and Birthday Sampler sets.  I had tons of fun creating this card!  I hope you'll give this challenge a try! :)

SPARKS Picture Perfect Challenge

Today begins a fun new inspiration challenge over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog!  This week's challenge is called Picture Perfect, to create a card using the following photo as inspiration.

Here's my take on the inspiration photo.  I loved the great vibrant aqua, dots, and soft feminine feel and used those as my inspiration.  All of the stamps on my card come from the fabulous set called Flap Happy.  It is filled with lots of different butterflies and trails to stamp behind them.  I just love it!  I've colored the butterflies with copics, fussy cut them and bent their wings out for added dimension.  They each have glitter applied to their wings and I've added glitter around the oval sentiment as well.  The background of my card uses a new border punch system from Martha Stewart to create the doily.  I added three strips of washi tape to create my sentiment panel.  I added a fun sparkle gem to finish off my card.

I hope you'll give this inspiration challenge a try!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Designer Drafts

Today starts a brand new challenge over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Blog!  It's Designer Drafts week, such a great sketch with so many possibilities!

I used some super fun Paper Smooches sets for my card; the adorable baby is from Pip Squeaks (I paper pieced the eyes so he'd be looking at the kite and not to the left), and the kite, clouds, bows and sentiment are from the Sunny Side Up set.  I paper pieced the kite and bows using some fun and cheery papers from My Mind's Eye On the Bright Side paper pad.  So fun!  The grass paper was also from that pack, and I just added the grass border using a great Martha Stewart punch.  I've added a baker's twine string to the kite for added dimension.  I had so much fun creating this little scene!  The possibilities are truly endless with Paper Smooches stamps, they are so versatile and fun!!! :)

Thanks SO much for visiting and checking out my card!  For lots more creative inspiration, be sure to visit the other Paper Smooches SPARKS design team blogs and then go visit the SPARKS blog for details on how to participate in the challenge! :)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect

Today begins a fun new challenge over at the Paper Smooches SPARKS blog!  It's an inspiration challenge, to use the following picture as inspiration for a card.  Isn't it pretty?

Here's what I came up with for the challenge.  I used some actual buttons and then a bunch of buttons from the Paper Smooches Needle Little Love set stamped and fussy cut from patterned papers.  This set is definitely a must have, it's just super fun and has sooooo many adorable sewing images!  My card background was done using a Sizzix embossing folder.  I inked my card using some wheat ink to soften it.  Then added a kraft layer cut to the size of the button card and added all my buttons.  The paper buttons have glossy accents added for that realistic look.

I hope you'll take the time to check out the SPARKS blog for challenge details and submit your own card!  Also, be sure to check out the other SPARKS Design Team member's creations on their blogs.

SPARKS Designer Drafts

Today I'm sharing a creation for the new Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge!  This week is Designer Drafts, to use this fun sketch for a card.

I just got these cupcake dies from Paper Smooches and had to use them on my card, along with some super fun Paper Smooches stamps.  Isn't this cupcake just the CUTEST?  The dies make it SO easy to create!  I stamped the cupcake top with the dots from Geo-Graphic and added the smile from Sunny Side Up.  Wiggle eyes and gem cheeks finished off his sweet face.  I added a 'wick' to the candle flame with a black fine tip marker and had to add some sparkle with stickles.  My background panel was done using the chevron stamp from Geo-Graphic stamped in Versamark ink.  I then went over the ink with shades of chalk to create a fun ombre look.  Love the soft effect the chalk has!  The sentiment is made using 'hey' from Quick Qwips and I spelled out 'cupcake' using the Alphadot set.

I had tons of fun putting this card together, and I hope you'll give this sketch a try and submit your creations on the SPARKS blog!! :)  Thanks SO much for visiting and checking out my card!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect

Today is the beginning of a new challenge over at the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge blog!  This week's challenge is called Picture Perfect, to use the following picture as inspiration for a card.
I stuck pretty closely to the photo for my layout and had so much fun putting this together.  I chose a patterned paper that was a little on the bright side, so I added a vellum panel to soften it.  A washi border strip grounded my images and provided them with a "table"! :)  I paper pieced these fun coffee cups, steam, and coffee from Paper Smooches' Hot Concoctions and Cyber Cafe stamp sets and created my sentiment using the Alphadot set.  The mustache on the guy mug is from the Hot Concoctions set and I added wiggle eyes to finish him.  My gal mug just had to have a face too, so I added lips and eyes from the Swanky Snowdudes set and just used a fine marker to add eyelashes.  I just loved the soft border around the inspiration photo, so I added my own dotted scallop border using a fine marker.  Love it! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my project!  I hope you take the time to visit the SPARKS Challenge blog and submit your own creation! :)
