Some new cards.....

Here are a few cards to share with you. For the metallic background on this first card, I used aluminum foil wrapped cardstock and ran it through the cuttlebug diamond plate folder. This was this week's technique lover's challenge over at Splitcoaststampers. It's such an easy way to get a really cool metallic background! I added some glossy accents to the motorcycle and the harley saying on the flame paper.

This card uses some adorable cupcake stamps from Unity Stamp Co. Love these, they go so well with this cute doodlebug designs paper. This card is unique in that the blue candle punched piece with the stamped images attached folds open, leaving the white background as the inside of the card. I added stickles to the candles and the cupcakes to give it some bling.
On this card, I stamped the flowers onto the background paper and stamped the pocket onto the blue patterned paper. I popped the pocket using foam squares and added the stamped tag and ribbon to my card. This card uses some stamps from Unity's July Kit of the month.
Each month Unity offers a new kit for kit club members. You can sign up to become a member and also get the past kits of the month on their website. The kits consist of a whole sheet (8 1/2 x 11) of unmounted precut rubber stamps! It is a fabulous deal and always such a great variety of images.
Thanks for checking out my cards! Happy Stamping :)

New Cards

Here are some new cards I've been working on. I've been really having fun coloring with alcohol markers. They give such a fun, bright look. These paper flowers are really fun to make, also. I used an old dictionary as the base and added some pink glimmer mist for a splash of color. Thanks for looking!!

Happy Birthday Unity!!

It was Unity Stamp Co.'s first birthday on May 1st. They had challenges each day and here are a few of my challenge cards. The challenge for this first card was to make a one layer card. This is just a white card base that's stamped and inked to create faux dp and paper layers. It was so hard to just use one layer, but I had fun and really like how my card turned out.
This card was based on the inspiration challenge. We were to base our card off of a cake picture.
Here is the cake that I was inspired by: Fondant Summer Cake. All the cakes looked so yummy and beautiful!!
For this challenge, we were to pull out our very first unity stamp or set. I had a lot of fun making this card with my Flower Parade kit. I just love the cosmo cricket girl friday papers too. Had to add a couple little strips of them. They just make me happy! Thanks for looking and happy stamping!

New Cards!

It has been forever since I uploaded anything new, so here are a couple cards I've done recently. I absolutely love anything from Imaginisce, so it's no surprise I fell in love with the Twitterpated line. Anything cute, flowery, or animals is on my list of favorites!
This one is using a really cute line by Colorbok called Friendly Forest. I added a rub-on for the branch, and cut the little owl out to sit on the branch. I added some layered flowers to the corner, one being a clear flower cut out of pop bottle, using a cuttlebug die. It's so easy and fun to make these cute embellishments using the cuttlebug. Thanks for looking and happy stamping!!!

This is a father's day or birthday card I made using this cute little man owl from The Angel Company. I just thought he would make a fun card for a guy. I computer generated the saying "Whoooo's your Daddy?!?". I added glossy accents to his eyes, beak, and feet for some dimension.

This card uses a bird stamp and saying from the $ section at Michaels. The bird is by inkadinkado and the saying is studio G. The background is a fabulous stamp from Unity Stamp Company called distressed dots. It's a must have stamp in my opinion! I wanted to make this card really spring like and fun, so I added glitter to the bird and the leaves, really bright and sparkly. Just a cheery, bright card.

Here's my first valentine card of the year. I thought this would be a fun kid's valentine for a boy or a girl. I love doing cards with non-traditional colors or styles, so they are more general. These are more stamps from the $ section at Michaels. The dog is by inkadinkado. I colored him using bic markits. I cut around the arms using a craft knife so he could hold the acrylic heart. Used nestabilities to cut the circle pieces. Those things are awesome! Thanks for checking out my new cards, and happy stamping!!! :)

New Stamps, New Cards......

I ordered some stamps through The Angel Company, and these are the first cards I made using them. Their style is great, lots of unique, awesome stamps! These owls and sayings were on my list of must haves, so of course I had to order them. I colored this card using Bic Markit's for a faux copic look. I added a little strip of Sassafrass Lass paper and a prima flower with gem brad. I love the funky vintage style.
This is one of my favorite flower stamps ever. It's just beautiful! I colored it using colored pencils and added the gems for a bit of sparkle.

This angel set is just the sweetest thing. I was drawn to it from the moment I saw it. I first saw The Angel Company at the Creating Keepsakes convention this fall and they had these angel cutouts standing up that were almost life size. They were just beautiful! Then I saw that they were a set of stamps in their catalog. I just love them. I colored this angel using watercolor pencils and a waterbrush. It gives such a soft, pretty look. Thanks for looking and happy stamping!!

Valentine Cards!

Here are some Valentine's I've been working on. I just had to have this owl and saying when I saw them. I'm kind of crazy about owls right now :). I'm also crazy about Imaginisce paper. I just love it! This one is from the fairy tale line, it's got just a little bit of sparkle, so cute. I used my new nesties for the circle and scalloped piece. They are FANTASTIC! So easy to use and they just look great!
I've had this set for a while and just used this stamp for the first time. I just think it is so cute. I love the look of houndstooth, so I thought this paper would be perfect for a funky, vintage feeling valentine card. I added glitter and glossy accents to the olive for some bling. I also added the little heart gems.

This one is just a simple love card. Could be used for valentines, wedding, anniversary. I loved the paper, and wanted to do something simple with it. I used the Love stamp from Unity Stamp Co., some gems, a paper flower, and a little heart acrylic accent. Thanks for looking :).

Hello again!

I'm finally getting around to putting more projects on here. With the Holidays and everything I've been so busy. I was getting sick of my blog, so I changed it all up! So much fun! Here are some of my new cards. This one is really fun. I got this cuttlebug folder and it inspired the whole card for me. This butterfly from Unity Stamp Co. is just so pretty. I colored it using Bic Mark it's for a faux copic look. I'm already sick of winter and snow, so I needed to work on something springy.
This is just a simple thank you card with a new House Mouse that I got. I had this idea right away when I saw the stamp. Just colored it with colored pencils. Really easy but such a cute little mouse.

This bird stamp is a new one I got, so I wanted to get something made with it. I added the cuttlebug border, I love the look of the borders. The colors are very different from those that I usually use, but I like them. They look kind of vintage. It was just a really quick and easy card.
